Met Museum Cancels Galliano Exhibition After 2011 Conviction

The Metropolitan Museum of Art cancelled an exhibition the Costume Institute had planned to host, according to BBC World.
Galliano was convicted in 2011 after making antisemitic and anti-Asian remarks toward a French couple in February 2011, Hyperallergic reported. The conviction carried a €6,000 ($6,962) fine, according to the site.
BBC World noted the cancellation is being reported alongside his prior hate speech conviction.
