Ontario Premier Doug Ford unveiled a 24-by-12-foot sign on Canada's shoreline on Saturday, August 30, 2026. The structure stands 18 feet above ground and bears the inscription "Lake Ontario. Now and Always."
NDTV reported that Canadian leaders ridiculed the proposal to rename the water body.
