The Panama-flagged vessel Ocean Winner sank in August 2026 about 240 nautical miles from the Odisha coast. NDTV identified the ship as a cargo vessel. It departed Paradip Port for Singapore while carrying iron ore. The MarineTraffic tracking platform logged the sinking.

Deutsche Welle said at least two crew members were rescued from the 24 people on board.
